What Is Advent?
Advent is a four-week period leading up to Jesus’ birth at Christmas. Each week traditionally focuses on one theme that helps us understand what Jesus’ coming means for our lives today.
Who Should Get One?
Give a copy to anyone who asks for one, while supplies last. People may come to Get Connected specifically to pick one up. Whenever possible, use that interaction to get to know people.
Do Attenders Need to Do Anything to Get the Booklet?
No, the book is completely free, and they don’t need to fill out a form to get one.
Don’t Forget!
This will bring more people to the Get Connected Space. Whenever possible, use this as an opportunity to meet people, hear their stories, and lead them to next steps.
Printed copies are limited. Give them freely, but when possible, ask people to take one per household.
Adults are the primary audience. Attenders may ask if this is a kids’ devotional. If so, inform them that the content is appropriate for all ages, but the practical application is geared toward adults and teens.
