Partner with Parents: Inspire Them by Connecting

A few weeks ago, a single mom, Robin, walked into one of our Life.Church campuses carrying triplets. She made her way to the door with a lot of assistance from Host Team. As she reached the guest services counter, leaders quickly checked her in and connected her with a LifeKids Coach to walk her to her kids’ LifeKids room. Because God so good, all the time, this LifeKids Coach happens also to be a mother of triplets! They connected immediately, and we saw this single mom breathe a sigh of relief.

When Robin returned to LifeKids to pick up her kids, the LifeKids Coach called her by name and learned she had just accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior! Week after week, Robin kept returning to church, and leaders continued to remember her and her children, greet her, and partner with her by talking about how her kiddos did in LifeKids. Last week, Robin signed up to serve in LifeKids! When we asked why, Robin said, “It felt like home. The teachers in my kids’ room knew my name and knew my kids names. They made me feel like they cared about my children.

“I want to be a part of this.”

As leaders, it’s important to remember the names of our kids and students as well as their parents. Building relationships is crucial in making a difference in our communities. People want to feel needed, and even more so they want to be known. When you partner with parents and let them know the growth you see in their kid, you’ve made a huge difference.

Robin’s eternity is entirely different now. As a leader in LifeKids, you have the opportunity to be used by God as He brings people into a relationship with Him this Christmas season! You never know—the difference you make might just inspire them to sign up to serve as well.
