Know The Series
As the world grows more connected, our neighbors are closer than ever. But how close are we to our neighbors? You might not share a fence, but you can still share their burdens and joys. And, who is your neighbor anyway? Scripture answers these questions and more. Come find out How to Neighbor.
Craig will talk about these themes:
- Races Reconciled
- Orphans Embraced
- Poor Empowered
- Lonely Loved

Bible Plans For Your LifeGroup
What if Christians were known for being the best neighbors? How would our world look different? Would heaven be fuller? Did you know a religious person once asked Jesus how to get into heaven? Jesus confirmed the two greatest commandments: love God and love your neighbor. Through powerful Scripture and modern good-neighbor stories, the How to Neighbor Bible Plan is a practical guide to finding your neighbors and loving them as yourself.
First, go through the How to Neighbor Bible Plan as a group. Then, check out some of the other Bible Plans listed.
1. How to Neighbor – Created by Life.Church for your LifeGroup. Craig illustrates five principles from How to Neighbor with real stories anyone can aspire to.
2. Fostering Hope – Designed for Foster Care Awareness Month in May, but great for any group interested in God’s heart for the most vulnerable.
3. Creating Compassionate Families – This plan is full of creative ways to encourage thankful and generous little hearts in your home.
4. Helping Without Hurting – The Bible is full of commands to care for the poor and the oppressed. This Bible Plan is a biblical guide to responding to those commands.
Your LifeGroup
Just by leading a LifeGroup, you’ve got a head start on being a good neighbor because you understand the power of long-term relationships. Think for a second about what you have as a group. Do the people who live near you have that? Does the local barista have people like you in her life? How about the other places you frequent? Are there good neighbors there?
Now, think about the places you may not go: the group foster home, the women’s correctional facility, the neighborhood that drives home prices down, the activist community you just can’t understand. Do these places have neighbors like you? As a group, create an action plan for how you’ll come into relationship with the people Jesus would have spent time with.
As you prayerfully make plans, read through the How to Neighbor Bible Plan and ask your Community Leader how you can get connected to a local mission partner.
