Know The Series

Cynicism and negativity may be the easy choice, but they’re not the best choice. If you seek what’s good, you’ll see what’s good. Let’s embrace the way we’re created to think and Stay Positive.

This Series: #Struggles

Next Series: Michael Jr.

Let Craig Lead Your Discussion

This series is a mixture of interviews, stories, and video teaching with a hopeful perspective of social media. The series is only one week, but many groups will pick up the #strugglesbook at a campus and discuss for several weeks. Find five of Craig’s group discussion videos here. As usual, visit life.church/talkitover for a full discussion guide.

Start The Bible Plan

As you scroll through your day on social media, does it feel like everyone else has it all together? Someone always has the best job, cutest kid, or happiest relationship. Staying focused on what really matters is a daily task, so why not read Pastor Craig’s #Struggles Bible Plan every day this week?

Your New Discussion Group

You may be in a new group created during Stay Positive. Hooray for you for keeping it going! If you haven’t yet, start encouraging members of your group to share their life stories. Also, now is a great time to spread around responsibility for snacks, childcare, and other details. Many groups like yours have opted to stay together and meet consistently. For more information about meeting consistently, contact your Community Leader.

Be Social

According to recent research, the average person spends about 43 hours a week connected to the Internet. Yet, we might only spend an hour in church and another hour or two together in LifeGroup. Should we spend less time online? Maybe. Either way, we can definitely make our digital time more meaningful. Here are three ideas for this week.

  1. Create a private Facebook or text group for your LifeGroup, and share prayer requests, fun ways you’re living out your discussion, and more personal updates from your week.
  2. As you see people post struggles to their social media, respond with encouragement and make a list of people to pray for.
  3. Pick a day to disconnect. Leave your devices in another room. Instead, spend time with friends or family in person.
